The Local Heroes campaign has now ended, but Community growing groups still need Local Heroes to take one simple action that will make a difference - for example signing up to a veg box scheme, visiting an event or workshop, offering specialist skills as a volunteer or providing business sponsorship. Buy fresh fruit or veg direct from a community food project, sign up for a veg box scheme, volunteer to help at harvest time... There's loads of ways to support groups and be a Food Hero. Plus some of the UK's top chefs have donated special recipes so you can cook up a treat.
